Years ago, Lee Chan became a fan of Power Rangers following Tommy Oliver's debut as the evil Green Ranger. Despite getting older as the years went by, Lee would see the franchise go through certain highs and lows. Around the same time, Lee knew a fan of the original Red Power Ranger who called the monster Madame Woe "Madame Moe." Also, Lee had a crush on a girl who had absolutely no interest in Power Rangers.
Years later, Lee would express his love for Power Rangers by making fan art. The first artwork Lee created depicted the likeness of Tommy Oliver and his Ranger forms behind the words, "For JDF." Lee would then create several other artworks, including Mighty Morphin Blue, Zeo Yellow, and Turbo Blue standing in front of an explosion; Super Megaforce Yellow and Silver fighting the Prince, Cyborg, Earth Armor, and Warstar versions of Vrak; and S.P.D. Shadow Ranger, Quantum Ranger, Titanium Ranger, Phantom Ranger, and Ninjor charge into battle. After some time, Lee drew the Team Cosmic Fury, Void Knight, and various other Lightning Collection figures that never came to fruition.
Meanwhile, a non-binary wheelchair user named Alex Murphy wrote many Power Rangers fanfiction stories. A Power Rangers and Super Sentai fan for years, Alex wrote the stories with various ideas. At least one tale Alex worked on featured the Alex character from Time Force.
At some point, Alex decided to write a story set in the Super Sentai universe. In the story, Space Sheriff Gavan Type G looked at potential recruits for the Space Squad team. After seeing the likes of Kikaider and Kamen Rider Ryuki, Gavan watched the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. For a while, Gavan saw the Gokaiger team's adventures and the opponents they faced over the years. Gavan then watched the core Gokaiger team fight remnants of the Zangyack. Before long, the Gokaigers changed into the Bioman and Maskman teams until they emerged victorious over the Zangyack remnants.
In another story Alex wrote, an evil entity started to kidnap and "collect" various heroes, including Sentai teams. This would culminate in Gavan Type G forming a Space Squad team comprised of certain Metal Heroes. Afterward, Gavan and the Space Squad would face an ultimate battle to end all battles against the evil entity. Not only that, but the evil entity would conjure an army of Gavan Bootleg clones to fight the Space Squad.
One day, like other fans, Alex and Lee excitedly watch the brand new Power Rangers reboot as they see...
